AdExchanger: Overcoming Auto-Play

Following up on our recent announcement of initiation type information available in our marketplace to our RTB bidders, Mike Shehan of SpotXchange explains to AdExchanger that auto-initiated inventory is valuable, but user-initiated inventory is even more valuable. User-initiated placements tend to be on brand name websites and preform well, so these publishers are able to set higher ask prices.
