Business Development Manager (NYC)

As a member of the Business Development team at SpotXchange, ideal candidates for this position will be experienced sales professionals with a keen understanding of online advertising and related technologies. Model candidates will have proven experience selling online advertising solutions to website publishers, especially those with audiences that consume online video content. All candidates must be motivated go-getters, with the persistence and diligence needed to close deals with potential network distribution partners.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with engineers, ad sales team, and Business Development VP to grow the SpotXchange Network of video publishers
- Develop pipeline of new publisher leads within strategic/target verticals
- Execute relationship development from first contact to signed agreement
- Work with SpotXchange Product Engineers to ensure efficient integration of SpotXchange serving technology for network partners
- Work with Ad Ops and Ad Sales teams to provide accurate and up-to-date information on ad inventory availability across publisher network
- Work with Ad Ops and Ad Sales teams to provide the best possible marketing strategy for selling inventory offered by publishers you bring into the SpotXchange Network
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to recognize opportunities, establish priorities, and execute sales strategies that align with overall strategies of the Network Development team
- Ideal candidates will have existing relationships with online publishers, preferably publishers that are established destinations for online video consumption
- Online ad sales experience is a plus (media buying & planning)
- Keen understanding of online video advertising, major players, etc...
- Understanding of online search and online display advertising
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team

Sales
Account Executives (Northeast)

SpotXchange is searching for experienced account executives to take leadership in developing and managing relationships with key decision makers at agencies and advertisers that currently advertise on TV and online. A successful candidate will have experience in traditional and/or online advertising, a network of established relationships with advertising agencies, and will have a proven track record in selling to various industries. A successful candidate must be highly motivated, extremely organized, team-oriented, creative, and possess outstanding communication and negotiating skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Create, implement and own a sales pipeline.
- Establish strong relationships with media buying decision makers.
- Work with Account Managers to create deal terms based on client needs and ensure proper execution and delivery of those campaigns.
- Work with Account Managers to convey relevant and appropriate reporting to clients.
- Continuously grow revenue via increased reach and penetration across numerous advertisers in order to meet or beat quarterly revenue goals.
- Travel when necessary to meet potential customers - frequent face to face interaction with decision makers is expected.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years online or broadcast sales experience with demonstrated track record of success in closing business and building relationships with decision makers.
- Strong advertiser and agency contact base.
- Excellent presentation skills - needed to convey paradigm shift with respect to how online video advertising is bought and placed compared with TV and online banners.
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to drive revenue from multiple accounts.
- High level of integrity
- Demonstrated ability to instigate, negotiate and close deals.
- A proven track record delivering on or exceeding revenue goals.
- Hands-on approach to tackling tactical as well as strategic work.
- Strong technical knowledge and appreciation.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial startup in which cross-functional teamwork and initiative is a must.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- BA/BS from an accredited 4 year college.
