Founder, CEO, President
Michael founded Booyah Networks in 2001 as a self-service paid search network. Under his leadership, Booyah ranked 23rd on the 2006 Inc. 500 list of fastest growing private U.S. companies; Booyah was the top advertising/marketing company on the list. The Booyah Networks portfolio also includes The Booyah Agency, a boutique-style online marketing agency and SpotXchange, an online video ad serving exchange. SpotXchange is helping a growing group of advertisers and agencies sponsor millions of video streams per day from a large publisher network. Michael lends his expertise to various committees and programs with the Interactive Advertising Bureau and has been tapped as an industry expert by MarketWatch, MediaPost, iMedia Connection, OMMA and more. Michael’s career highlights include CEO of Ereo, Inc., a venture-backed image search technology company. Before Ereo, he founded LOGEX International, LLC, an e-commerce solutions provider for the retail and catalog industries. When LOGEX was acquired in 1998, Michael was named president for two of AppNet's divisions, e-Commerce Solutions and Outsourcing Services. Michael graduated from Vanderbilt with a degree in Biology.

Steve Swoboda
Founder, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer
With almost twenty years in corporate finance, operations and accounting, Steve oversees operational and financial activities for Booyah Networks and SpotXchange. Steve’s experience prior to founding Booyah Networks includes senior management positions at two other start up companies (Ereo, Inc. and ProSavvy, Inc.), serving as chief financial officer of iBelay LLC, a venture capital firm investing in seed stage companies, and public company experience as director of corporate development for MessageMedia, Inc. (acquired by DoubleClick). Steve began his career at Price Waterhouse LLP, where he gained extensive experience in domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, SEC reporting, and internal controls. Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Colorado.

J. Allen Dove
Chief Technology Officer
J. Allen Dove brings Booyah Networks more than 13 years of experience in information technology leadership and execution. Throughout his career, Allen has worked at the C-level in companies ranging in size from Fortune 500 to start-ups to successfully develop and execute technology strategies and programs. In 2007, Allen was recognized by InfoWorld as a finalist in their annual CTO 25. Prior to Booyah Networks, Allen was a founder and CTO of ShadowLogic Inc., an information assurance and national security solutions engineering firm. Allen also served as the CTO of AppNet, Inc., a company publicly traded and subsequently acquired by Commerce One in April 2000. Allen was responsible for all facets of AppNet’s technology innovations and focuses.

Mark Reynolds
Vice President, Business Development, Publishers
As one of Booyah Networks original employees Mark brings a keen understanding of search to his role. Since 2003, Mark has been integral in growing the company’s gross sales. He has worked his way up from sales executive on the company’s paid search network to influencing the design of SpotXchange. In this role, Mark is spearheading business development and strategic partnership initiatives with media buyers, agencies and advertisers including a focus on political campaigns. Having worked in the press office for Senator McCain and on two senate campaigns in his home state of Colorado, Mark has a powerful understanding of how the quick implementation and accurate targeting applications of SpotXchange can be used for political issue advocacy and voter outreach. Mark graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University.

Bryan Blood
Regional Ad Sales Vice President, West
Bryan is a veteran to the interactive advertising industry. Bryan spearheads the development, implementation and execution of the advertising sales strategy. His work includes helping advertisers get the most out of the ad serving system through training, business development initiatives and more. Previously, Bryan led sales programs on a national level for Media News Group Interactive. Here, he oversaw national advertising revenue for the company’s 40 Web site network, including The Oakland Tribune, The LA Daily News, The Salt Lake Tribune, The Denver Post, The Connecticut Post and LA.com. Bryan’s career highlights include time at Belo Interactive (Belo Corporation), Internet.com (JupiterMedia Corporation), Rocky Mountain News and MCI WorldCom.

Paul Bowlin
Regional Ad Sales Vice President, East
Paul brings over two decades of expertise in traditional and interactive advertising sales experience. As the vice president for the company’s New York office, he manages relationships with the East Coast advertising community. His responsibilities include building awareness and acceptance in the advertising community for buying/selling online video advertising in the SpotXchange self-service marketplace. His focus also includes working with the industry to establish best practices for effective online video advertising methods. Paul is actively involved in the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), lending his knowledge and experience to the Digital Video Audience Measurement and the Ad Sizes task forces. Before joining SpotXchange Paul was a director of sales at BrightSpot. His experience includes working with innovative broadband advertising companies including broadcast.com (now part of Yahoo), Lightningcast, and FMiTV Networks. Paul graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Nasson College.

Valerie Quintanilla

Valerie has spent five years piloting successful trade and consumer PR and marketing campaigns. At Booyah, Valerie manages marketing and PR initiatives including media relations, trade show attendance, speakers bureau and analyst relations initiatives. Before Booyah, Valerie spent three years at Schenkein Public Relations where she managed national, regional and local trade and consumer media relations programs for clients including Dex Media (formerly QwestDex), The Home Depot, First Data and Western Union. Valerie also directed speakers bureaus initiatives securing national trade show visibility for her executives. Additional career highlights include driving PR programs for Signature Advertising and Thinkinc. Valerie graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Journalism.

Doug Render

Doug Render has spent the past 13 years working in a number of diverse entrepreneurial businesses in product management, product marketing and sales channel development and support roles. Doug’s responsibilities at Booyah Networks include aligning development resources with business requirements to help SpotXchange deliver video advertising solutions that anticipate marketplace needs. Immediately prior to joining Booyah, he worked at a venture-backed high-technology company where he helped develop the company’s primary value propositions, market differentiation and product plans. Doug has a BA from Brown University and an MBA from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado.

Troy Lerner
Advisor
Troy advocates advanced targeting capabilities for the SpotXchange platform on behalf of the media buying community by advising the SpotXchange product development team. Troy brings hands-on experience with the entire online marketing landscape, including search (PPC, PI, SEO), display media, site design, and behavioral targeting, etc. Troy has helped companies of all sizes and budgets with online marketing solutions, including Motor Trend, the American Automobile Association and Little Tikes. Troy currently runs The Booyah Agency after two years at Avenue A / Razorfish where he headed up business development for the search division and managed client teams. Troy was part of the team that made Avenue A / Razorfish Search to one of the largest global buyers of search inventory. Prior to Avenue A / Razorfish, Troy co-founded an interactive marketing company with nearly 70,000 worldwide customers. Troy sold the company in 2002. Troy studied Economics and American Government at the University of Virginia.
