
Mike Shehan
Founder, CEO, President
Mike leads SpotXchange, a comScore top-rated online video advertising network that is helping advertisers and agencies sponsor millions of video streams per day from a large and growing publisher network. In 2005, Mike started SpotXchange as a division of Booyah Networks, which he founded in 2001 as a self-service paid search network. Under his leadership, Booyah ranked 23rd on the 2006 Inc. 500 list of fastest growing private U.S. companies -- Booyah was the top advertising/marketing company on the list. Mike is currently the Chairman of Booyah, which now operates as the premier digital agency in the Rocky Mountain region with clients such as DISH, Blockbuster, Vail, Qdoba, Manilla, and Teleflora. Mike's career highlights also include being CEO of Ereo, Inc., a venture-backed image search technology company. Before Ereo, he founded LOGEX International, LLC, an e-commerce solutions provider for the retail and catalog industries. When LOGEX was acquired in 1998, Mike was named president for two of AppNet's divisions, e-Commerce Solutions and Outsourcing Services. Mike lends his advertising and technology expertise to various committees and programs with the Interactive Advertising Bureau and has been recognized as an industry expert by MarketWatch, MediaPost, iMedia Connection, OMMA and others. Mike graduated from Vanderbilt with a degree in biology.

Steve Swoboda
Founder, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer
With more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance, operations and accounting, Steve oversees operational and financial activities for SpotXchange and sister company Booyah Networks. Steve's experience prior to founding SpotXchange and Booyah Networks includes senior management positions at two other startup companies (Ereo, Inc. and ProSavvy, Inc.), serving as chief financial officer of iBelay LLC, a venture capital firm investing in seed stage companies, and public company experience as director of corporate development for MessageMedia, Inc. (acquired by DoubleClick). Steve began his career at Price Waterhouse LLP, where he gained extensive experience in domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, SEC reporting, and internal controls. Steve holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Colorado and currently serves on the board of directors of the Alumni Association for the University of Colorado at Boulder.

J. Allen Dove
Chief Technology Officer
J. Allen Dove brings to SpotXchange more than 18 years of experience in information technology leadership and execution. Throughout his career, Allen has worked at the C-level for companies ranging in size from Fortune 500 to startups, successfully developing and executing technology strategies and programs. Throughout his career, Allen has focused on information security and large-scale transactional systems. Prior to SpotXchange, Allen was a founder and CTO of ShadowLogic Inc., an information assurance and national security solutions engineering firm. Allen also served as the CTO of AppNet, Inc., a company publicly traded and subsequently acquired by Commerce One in April 2000. Allen was responsible for all facets of AppNet's technology innovations and focuses.

Bryon Evje
EVP, Sales & Business Development
Bryon Evje has more than 12 years of media experience, with a career that includes posts ranging from journalism, content development, operations, product development, sales and business development. Bryon began his career as a sports writer in New York, where he covered the local pro and college scene for multiple daily newspapers in the nation's top media market. He later helped bring a host of professional sports teams online for the first time, including the New York Mets, New York Yankees, Chicago Bears and Denver Broncos. Bryon then helped pioneer one of the original online video incubation companies, Wavexpress, making IP-based video-on-demand a reality before it later became an industry-wide phenomenon. Most recently, Bryon was Chief Operating Officer and later President for one of the web's original online video networks, Broadband Enterprises. Bryon holds multiple patents and has fashioned a number of leading technology platforms, including the first-ever video-specific ad-serving, tracking and measurement platform and the original contextual video distribution system. Bryon lives in Atlanta with his wife and three children.

Michael Griffiths
VP, Data Analytics
Michael Griffiths leads the SpotXchange Data Analytics group, which is responsible for creating new and innovative data, targeting, optimization and analytics products for the company. He is an accomplished online advertising and analytics expert who helped pioneer the field of online behavioral targeting and optimization. In 1996, Michael was an original founder and the CTO of Matchlogic, one of the initial online advertising companies, and the first to create and use behavioral targeting in an online context. Prior to MatchLogic, Michael designed and developed systems in such diverse fields as CAD/CAM, GIS, computational geometry, machine learning, simulation, knowledge engineering and computer language development. He was also one of the earliest Chief Privacy Officers in the online advertising world, and was a founder of the Network Advertising Alliance (NAI), representing the industry during Congressional hearings in 2000. Michael stays active and involved in the online privacy field and is currently a member of the IAB Public Policy Council. Michael has helped to create numerous innovations in several fields and has patents in online Advertising, media delivery, and laser graphics optimization. He has also received awards in the field of manufacturing automation.

Leanne Smullen
VP, Marketing
Leanne is responsible for defining and executing SpotXchange’s branding, communications and marketing strategies. She has held management positions at several startup technology companies, including healthcare integration software company, BridgeGate International; and Fluensee, a company offering RFID-enabled asset tracking software. She led the global marketing strategy for four companies under the brand of mobile asset management company, TrenStar, as the company grew from a $2M startup to a $57M industry leader. At Viewlocity, a leading supply chain event management software company, Leanne developed the global communications, public relations and advertising strategies that helped position the new company as the recognized market leader. At management consulting firm Kurt Salmon Associates, Leanne assisted Fortune 500 consumer products clients with logistics strategy. As a former major in the U.S. Army and a public affairs officer, Leanne was responsible for media relations during deployments to Afghanistan, Kuwait, Macedonia and Somalia. She received a BA in communications from the University of Southern California and an MBA with a concentration in marketing from Georgia State University in Atlanta.

Jeremy Straight
VP, Business Development
Jeremy leads the SpotXchange Business Development Team, which is responsible for addition of new publisher inventory into the SpotXchange marketplace. The Business Development Team sits in offices throughout the US, UK and AUS with individuals focused on local and global publisher supply and matching that with current market demand needs. Jeremy's team works with publishers to create monetization solutions on both ends of the spectrum, both premium and the mid to long tail. The team also capitalizes on existing publisher relations and strategic partnerships, ensuring that advertiser demands are met by working with the supply side of the marketplace. Together the teams create network profitability by assessing value of traffic from various publishers and maximizing a publisher's inventory to meet the marketplace demand needs. Jeremy has held management positions with several technology companies including DATA, Incorporated and OneRiot and specializes in prospecting and providing enterprise level monetization solutions for publishers. He received a BA in English/Journalism from Nebraska Wesleyan University.

Ben Sullins
VP, Engineering
Ben brings 14 years of software development and large scale systems experience to the engineering team at SpotXchange. As VP of Engineering, Ben is focused on bringing quality and reliable technical visions to life, and promoting efficiencies in development and testing activities by defining an agile development approach that matches with the aggressive nature of the industry and our technical visions. Throughout his career, Ben has held numerous leadership positions at Level(3) Communications and has led the development for high volume, highly available software for work flow, data management and order entry systems. Ben is a certified ScrumMaster and has published two books, JMX in Action and the EJB Cookbook. He received a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Baylor University and enjoys backpacking with his wife and five children.

Erik Swain
VP, Operations
Erik brings 16 years of online advertising experience to SpotXchange, centered on Operations, Product and Strategy. He’s built and scaled digital media business from early stages, launching three online ad networks for DataLogix, Clearspring and quadrantOne. Erik’s digital background spans social media, big portal advertising, digital newspaper efforts and data-driven targeting across Exchanges and DSPs. Erik led AOL’s Advertising Operations, implementing over $500 million in banner display and introducing pre-roll and in-banner video to AIM’s ad product suite. Most recently he was VP of Operations and Corporate Marketing for DataLogix. Erik lives in Boulder, CO with his wife and two boys.

Doug Render
Director, Product Management
Doug Render has spent the past 13 years working in a number of diverse entrepreneurial businesses in product management, product marketing and sales channel development and support roles. Doug's responsibilities at SpotXchange include aligning development resources with business requirements to help SpotXchange deliver video advertising solutions that anticipate marketplace needs. Immediately prior to joining SpotXchange, he worked at a venture-backed high-technology company where he helped develop the company's primary value propositions, market differentiation and product plans. Doug has a BA from Brown University and an MBA from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado.

Vicki Lyon
Managing Director, Asia Pacific
Vicki is focused on expanding the SpotXchange business to the Asia Pacific region. She is an experienced media professional who specializes in launching new businesses in emerging markets in the digital and mobile media space. Previously, Vicki launched Tribal Fusion to the Australian market, being one of the first ad networks to enter the market at the time, and it is now considered the 3rd largest in the region. Prior to Tribal Fusion, Vicki was responsible for the commercialization and integration of FPC Magazines online titles which included Vogue.com.au and Taste.com.au. Vicki pioneered the online and mobile media industry in South Africa while working for the country’s 2nd largest ISP, Tiscali.co.za. While at Tiscali, Vicki created a profitable business out of a traditional portal by implementing various commercial models, including mobile sms advertising, an e-commerce shop, content integration and online advertising.

Andrew Moore
Managing Director, UK
Andrew is leading the European expansion of SpotXchange and brings 13 years of advertising experience in both digital and traditional print media. Previously, Andrew was a Senior Commercial Executive at AOL (UK) where he managed the Agency Sales Team and later went on to develop key trading relationships with the agency holding companies. Before AOL, Andrew held management positions for IPC Media, the magazine division of TimeWarner in the UK, and a leading UK ISP, Freeserve. Andrew fulfilled a lifelong goal of living and working abroad when he worked for FPC Magazines in Sydney, Australia. While working at The Guardian, Andrew sold the first ever UK advertising campaigns on a WAP-enabled mobile phone and handheld device. Prior to his career in advertising, Andrew was a successful design student, winning the coveted Graduate Menswear Designer of the Year Award and worked for leading UK Menswear designer, Nigel Hall.
