How do I get started?
First, you will want to register for a SpotXchange publisher account from our website. Apply for an account now. A SpotXchange Channel Manager will respond to further publisher information.
What exactly is "ad slot inventory?"
"Ad slot inventory" is a publisher's available video inventory. Publishers seeking to fill their ad slot inventory will query SpotXchange requesting advertising based on the parameters of their channel configuration.
How do I opt into the Overlay ad program?
Overlay ads are available similar to Pre-Roll advertising by selecting the interested ad type box within Section 4 "Channel Profile: Available Ad Types & Minimum Bid Levels" of the channel creation process. Examples of the Overlay unit can be found here.
Do I need to upgrade my current implementation in order to call Overlay ads?
Overlay ad delivery is contingent on your current implementation with SpotXchange. Please contact your technical representative at SpotXchange to determine if upgrading your implementation is necessary to accept Overlay advertising.
Can I call both Pre-Roll and Overlay ads?
Yes! Your integration type will determine which type of advertising you can call for, but if you are interested in both it is certainly possible.
Is there a minimum traffic requirement?
SpotXchange is interested in publishers to add to our marketplace who feature professionally produces or licensed video/game content. Estimated 25,000 monthly video impressions are required since advertisers are delivering campaigns on a CPM basis to meet campaign goals.
What kind of coverage can I expect?
Coverage is directly dependant on the amount and types of traffic offered by the publisher along with the channel configuration of minimum bids. Coverage will vary greatly depending on whether your traffic is US or foreign based IP addresses and what minimum CPMs you are willing to accept.
What is your typical average CPM?
CPMs range based on the available inventory and types of content featured by the publisher. We work with all types of publishers including music, radio, movies, news, sports and casual gaming.
What will this cost me?
Nothing! There are no setup or integration fees associated with SpotXchange. We work on a basic revenue share with our publishers; we only make money when you make money.
How long does it typically take to integrate?
The integration process with SpotXchange is simple and easy. We have dedicated engineering resources on the SpotXchange team who will walk you through the integration process to help answer any questions and ensure everything is working properly before serving live ads.
How are payments made?
Payments are made on a net 30 basis. We will write you a check based on the amount of revenue in your publisher account each month. You will be able to check updated revenue numbers in real-time through your publisher interface.
Do you do display advertising?
The only form of display advertising that SpotXchange offers are companion banners associated with Pre-Roll and In-Game advertising. An example can be found at (link to example ad format page). The most common companion banner is 300x250, but we do support all IAB standard banner sizes.
How large is your network? How many video streams do you see?
…and growing!
